We’re James and Meredith:
The two real-life people behind the name of Lightbox Print Co. who collaboratively produce artwork together.
We’re definitely not always this serious.
What you really want to know...
All of our prints are 100% handmade, screen-printed with our four hands in our humble homegrown studio, and are based off our original drawings, photographs, and concepts.
The name “Lightbox” refers to the sunroom where we spend most of our time in our city apartment. Always filled with natural light, it makes for the perfect spot for us to draw and contemplate our big ideas while watching the hubbub of street life happening below.
When we’re not printing you can likely find us in our tiny kitchen cooking, outdoors exploring a new city or landscape, or at one of our local neighborhood breweries.
The full story... (in one paragraph)
James began screen-printing in college, learning about the process through an elective class during architecture school. Years later, he met Meredith while she was in graduate school and they began printing together as a creative release from the constraints of their academic and working worlds. Everything seemed to gradually fall into place from there: casual printing led to a collaborative business of making and selling artwork together, and casual friendship led to a marriage of soul mates.
